The session will commence with a discussion on a common educational challenge: “Why don’t students understand?”

This will lead into an examination of the theoretical framework of threshold concepts, which are essential for deep learning in any discipline. The focus will then shift to a specific threshold concept: Ohm’s Law. The presentation will demonstrate how artificial intelligence can be employed to facilitate Socratic tutoring, thereby improving students’ comprehension of this fundamental principle. Practical experiences with Ohm’s Law will be shared, showcasing the effectiveness of these teaching strategies. The session will conclude with key insights and takeaways.
